29th March 2017 Windsurfing: El Medano, Tenerife Wind Direction: NE Wind Stength: F5 Surf / Sea State: Chop, waves, swell Air Temperature: 23 Sea Temperature: 20 Weather: sun Max Speed: Distance Covered: Flying home tonight so last sail of this visit and pity as forecast is great. Sailed 11-1pm on 95tri/6m but wind climbed and 86l/5.2m would have been better but still good fun. Went to harbour wall with waves getting better towards end but wind started to decrease and I needed to dry my kit. Got one reasonable turn on wave and feel with good week could not progress, maybe will in Rhosneigr when home. A good day to end on and booked next year. I have been here 76 days since mid Jan and sailed 27 days on the 86l and 95l boards and 4.2m-6m sails I brought. I missed 3 days as ill, and if I also had bigger gear or hired reckon you could have sailed 50% of days; last year in corresponding period it was 70% |
